As a volunteer consultant you can use your knowledge and training to help local staff. You may work on tasks such as:

• Provide and facilitate training workshops for the creation and management of an NGO.
• Advice to local teams on the recommendations, fundraising and implementation of projects.
• Provide individual training on topics such as public relations or corporate communications.
• Coordinate various outreach programs, with the topics such as:

Business Development Volunteer

The grassroots NGOs in Cape Town have initiated quality projects but a lack of financial resources, expertise and contacts means they have difficulty in implementing actions. This results in projects progressing slowly and not benefiting those who need it most. Your skills as a consultant will be a valuable asset.

You will gain valuable experience in developing NGOs in a foreign country. You will work alongside fellow professionals and share ideas. You will also be challenged to develop your creativity and leadership skills in order to help the local staff.
