Volunteer in Tanzania

Map of Tanzania

Africa’s highest mountain, biggest lake and a variety of sandy beaches lie in wait for anyone looking to volunteer in Tanzania, making it an exciting destination for a skilled volunteer project or overseas work placement. Our specialist voluntary projects are available for anyone interested in volunteering in the developing world, including professionals on a career break, recent graduates or retired seniors.

Tanzania emerged from British Colonial rule in 1964 which has provided it with an exciting mix of modern and traditional culture. Even though much of the country suffers from a lack of infrastructure and development, its economy is showing signs of growth and the government has worked hard to improve healthcare and education. Now more than ever, there is great scope for skilled volunteers to continue this work. They will be doing so in a picturesque setting with some of the most famous safari parks in the world. Tanzania is also home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, which is more accessible than you might think and comes thoroughly recommended.
