Partnership opportunities

Volunteer at hospital in China
At Projects Abroad Pro we believe that two heads are better than one, which is why we strive to form partnerships with various organisations in order to improve the quality of our volunteer placements and ensure that anyone who is interested in overseas voluntary work gets the chance to hear about what we have to offer them. We are currently partnered with Non Governmental Organisations, charities, corporate businesses, colleges and universities throughout the world. Our dedicated staff manage these relationships and are free to visit and offer advice on any of our projects. The partnerships are a vital part of our operation and we are proud to be associated with these organisations.
Corporate Partnerships
Projects Abroad Pro have formed numerous partnerships with businesses and organisations and we are always looking for new companies who are interested in working with us. By providing a system where your skilled and qualified employees can undertake our structured pro bono overseas placements, we can work together to improve standards of living, education and the environment in some of the poorest communities in the world. We have a reputation as one of the leading international providers of overseas volunteering opportunities and over 17 years of experience in the industry underline us as the right choice for your business. We offer structured, tailor-made placements with our reliable and experienced project partners in 17 destinations worldwide. We also have experience of how to make corporate involvement sustainable. Our in-country support is unrivalled with a dedicated team of staff on hand in case of emergency or simply to offer advice on working in a developing country. If you are interested in forming a partnership with Projects Abroad Pro or want to find out more about our placements, please contact Scott McQuarrie.
Project Partners

Education programme in Jamaica
Two principles govern our relationship with partner organisations in developing countries where our volunteers work. The first is that we never replace local employment with volunteering; volunteering organisations that send people to developing countries for long periods run the risk of taking over local jobs; we never do this. Our second principle is that we always ensure that there is no financial cost - or any other outlay - by local partner organisations.
Projects Abroad makes a number of donations to our partner organisations but does not make regular payments because this could compromise the long-term running of these organisations; it is vital that they remain financially independent. Donations can take many forms, from basic materials like school books and pens to grander donations such as the ambulance we bought for a hospital in India, or the classroom block we built at a school in Peru. Recently we made a large contribution to the State Maternity Hospital in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where we have placed volunteers now for a number of years; this hospital is incredibly important to the expectant mothers of Mongolia; you can learn more about this story here. In the end, however, our relationship with our partners is not primarily financial, although we recognise the importance of finance; we are there to help with volunteers.
We offer a large variety of placements in all of our destinations and have strived to cultivate partnerships with key members of staff on each project. A good example of this is our Human Rights law placement in South Africa where we have ties with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. We also work with educational and social care organisations such as Osu Children’s Home in Ghana and the Adaptive Technology Centre for the Blind in Ethiopia. We are always looking to form links with new projects such as in Jamaica where we recently conducted research in local communities and decided to team up with the Rural Family Support Organization to develop their parental education programme.
