Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC) - Peru

The Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC) is a Peruvian government organization under the authority of the Ministry of Education. Projects Abroad Pro have a formal agreement to work with the INC in the Cusco region of Peru. Their aim is to conserve and promote regional cultural heritage and we assist them through our volunteer archaeology and heritage education projects.

COPESCO

COPESCO - Peru

COPESCO is a government scheme designed to increase levels of tourism in the Cusco Region of Peru. They work on improving the infrastructure and standard of living in areas that possess the potential for tourism growth but are being held back by extreme poverty. Projects Abroad Pro works with COPESCO in the hope that through education and regional development we can help to alleviate poverty in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the country.

Theodore Kamwimbi - Human Rights Project Manager

Theodore Kamwimbi - Human Rights Project Manager

Theodore Kamwimbi is a Congolese lawyer who has studied in Kinshasa and the University of Cape Town, and specialises in International Human Rights Law. Before joining Projects Abroad he worked as a migrancy researcher and as a lawyer for the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation in Cape Town. With experience from a variety of African countries on some high profile projects, Theo is now using this experience and motivation to drive forward our Human Rights initiative in Cape Town.

Jozsef Nagy – Archaeology in Romania

Jozsef Nagy - Archaeology in Romania

Jozsef possesses a Masters Degree in Archaeology and has worked on numerous digs in Romania and at the Lewes Historical Society in the USA. He coordinates our archaeology work in Romania and is available to offer practical advice and help for all archaeology volunteers. Even with his wealth of knowledge and experience he looks forward to receiving volunteers with a qualification in archaeology so that he can learn from them and share his ideas on this fascinating subject.

Dr. Oscar Romero Senior – Medical work in Bolivia

Dr. Oscar Romero Senior - Medical work in Bolivia

Dr. Romero works in the Burns Unit of the Hospital Viedma  in Bolivia. He is a perfect example of the kind of peer to peer contact available in our medical placements. While extremely knowledgeable in his field and happy to advise new volunteers, he will benefit from having another experienced professional to work with. Not only will it enable him to share the vast workload of the Burns Unit, but also to discuss possible methods of treatment and brush up on new western techniques. The best part is that this will cost the hospital nothing and their patients will benefit greatly.

Rama Kudolo – Sports coaching in Ghana

Rama Kudolo - Sports coaching in Ghana

Rama is the Head Coach of Cantonments Football Club in Ghana and has been working with the club since 2000. He is always keen to learn new methods of coaching and match tactics, regularly picking the brains of volunteers to give his team the edge. With plenty of experience of playing and coaching Ghanaian football, Rama is also in a unique position to advise volunteers on the mentality of Ghanaian players and how to conduct yourself when dealing with league officials.

Mr Krishna Bhattarai – Physiotherapy in Nepal

Mr Krishna Bhattarai - Physiotherapy in Nepal

Mr Bhattari is a qualified physiotherapist working in a hospital in Nepal. He has regular contact with volunteers and is able to provide advice on dealing with patients in the developing world. At the same time, he values the knowledge and input of an experienced colleague and is receptive to new ideas and suggestions from skilled volunteers.
