Volunteer jobs with Projects Abroad Pro

Soccer school training
As a Projects Abroad Pro volunteer, you will be spending anywhere between two weeks and nine months overseas in a developing country performing unpaid work helping disadvantaged local communities. If you are a trained professional on a career break, a graduate or a retired senior with experience in a particular field and wish to share it with worthy causes then this voluntary work is for you. We see our projects as being a two-way process where you will gain just as much from the experience of volunteer work abroad as the people you are helping. On the one hand you might be a teacher who helps to improve the standard of spoken English in poor communities in Africa, resulting in your pupils increasing their chances of future employment. On the other hand you could be a doctor who gains valuable experience of how to deal with a lack of resources and trained personnel in a hospital in Africa. Whatever your skill or specialist subject you can put it to use and start making a difference to people’s lives with Projects Abroad Pro.
Voluntary jobs abroad
Projects Abroad Pro offer voluntary work abroad for trained professionals in sixteen destinations throughout the developing world. We operate in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, covering specialist areas such as education, medical work, business development, the environment, engineering, human rights, social work and more. You can find a full list of destinations and available jobs by clicking on the links at the top of the page.
Professional projects for skilled volunteers
Projects Abroad Pro are looking for confident, friendly and well-organised people who have an open-minded approach to working in a developing country. Each project has specific requirements regarding qualifications, but any related experience you may have will also be taken into consideration when you apply. Generally speaking, we are looking for the following individuals:

Volunteer veterinarian
- Professionals on a career break with a diploma in the relevant area
- Retired seniors
- University Graduates
- Individuals with at least two years’ experience in the relevant area but who hold no degree or diploma.
- Individuals who hold non-professional qualifications in the relevant area. Examples of acceptable qualifications can be seen below:
- UEFA coaching badge
- Examples of qualifications that we will not accept:
- Duke of Edinburgh Award
Given that communication is a key aspect of building a strong relationship with your project partner, being able to speak French or Spanish to a good level is a prerequisite for volunteers in some destinations.
Even if you feel you do not possess the required skills or qualifications for these specialist roles, you can still help on the same projects. Please visit our website for more information about volunteering with Projects Abroad.
