Projects Abroad PRO is looking for qualified teachers to take part in our Teacher Trainer project in the Sacred Valley, Peru. The project starts in January 2012 and is run in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.

A volunteer social worker helping in Ghana

Social Worker in Ghana

We are developing a program for trafficking victims which we will implement in communities affected by the trafficking industry. The programme requires a social worker to provide individual and group therapy as well as making continuous assessments and plans for these regular sessions. The programme will eventually be handed over to a local social worker and a team of unexperienced volunteers who will need a thorough manual of lesson plans and activities created for them by an experienced social worker.

This volunteer environmental science project conducts research and analysis of soil, plant water and fertilizer samples in Kumasi.

Like many African countries, the extraction of precious stones and minerals is an activity rooted in the long history of Ghana. Unfortunately mining creates some environmental problems, such as leaving large degraded areas that need to be reforested or turned into farmland.

We are looking for other volunteers to join an existing applicant during September 2012.
